The street party ran from the gate to
the school field - with the marquee -

and jazz band
...to the Fitzwilliam Arms. There was
music and laughter all the way...
and some rather peculiar morris dancers.
The party was opened by a release of balloons.
Up up and away !
Meanwhile, Barbara was hard at work
preparing food...
...a host of others were involved in
collecting, arranging and transporting the food to the tables on the main
road.
A human food chain was formed.
Then the feasting began
The villages enjoyed a glorious day
of celebration.
Plans are now in hand for the next millennium
celebration - of course.
