Inspired by Bill Baxter`s vision for a colourful spring in the new millennium, on the weekend of 6/7th November, over 100 residents of Castor and Ailsworth turned out to plant nearly 25,000 daffodil bulbs.
More residents appeared with tea and coffee for the planters turning the event into a real community occasion.
The enthusiasm shown demonstrates the pride people have in the villages
as well as the great community spirit which exists here.
